About Katy
Katy Wade has been a musician, singer and songwriter for over 15 years. She first learned to play guitar as a teenager in her church youth group where she began to write songs and lead worship. Raised in Salinas, California; the diversity of her childhood prepared her to be a worship leader at Shiloh Christian Fellowship – Nations Gathering Unto Jesus, a large inner-city church in the heart of Oakland, California.
Katy is currently the Co-Pastor of Worship & Arts at Shiloh, a multi racial, multi generational church in the California Bay Area, where you can find an eclectic blend of traditional gospel, contemporary worship, acoustic rock and some of the most gifted and anointed people in the area.
As a worship leader, her musical style is eclectic as well, as she can move easily from gospel to a variety of other types of music. Her interactive style of leading often includes spontaneous worship and her uniqueness is seen in the passionate pursuit to deliver a new sound and a prophetic song of heaven to this generation.
The easy acoustic style on her debut album Offering is a backdrop to display angelic vocals and a soulful range. When she sings, her voice has crystal clarity; her style is simple and powerfully expressive, offering beautiful lyrics and vocal arrangements with each song.
Katy lives in the East Bay with her husband Daniel, their two beautiful children, Maggie and Samuel, her blue guitar Ella and their dog named Bella.
